'성폭력 가해자'는 성폭력범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법 제2조 제1항에 규정된 범죄를 저지른 개인으로 파악된다. 이 정의는 성폭력 행위를 한 사람들을 말한다.
"성폭력 피해자"란 성폭력의 영향을 직접 경험한 사람을 말한다. 이 정의는 성폭력의 신체적, 정서적, 심리적 결과로 고통받은 개인을 포함한다.
전반적으로 이 법은 성폭력을 예방하고 피해자를 보호하며 피해자의 회복 과정을 통해 지원하는 법적 틀 역할을 한다. 성폭력에 대한 경각심을 높이고, 가해자의 행동에 대한 책임을 보장하며, 피해자 지원 및 재활 대책을 수립하는 것을 목표로 한다.
성폭력방지 및 피해자보호 등에 관한 법률
제1조(목적) 이 법은 성폭력을 예방하고 성폭력피해자를 보호ㆍ지원함으로써 인권증진에 이바지함을 목적으로 한다. <개정 2015. 2. 3.>
제2조(정의) 이 법에서 사용하는 용어의 뜻은 다음과 같다.
1. “성폭력”이란 「성폭력범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법」 제2조제1항에 규정된 죄에 해당하는 행위를 말한다.
2. “성폭력행위자”란 「성폭력범죄의 처벌 등에 관한 특례법」 제2조제1항에 해당하는 죄를 범한 사람을 말한다.
3. “성폭력피해자”란 성폭력으로 인하여 직접적으로 피해를 입은 사람을 말한다.

The term "victim of sexual violence" means a person who has directly experienced the effects of sexual violence. This definition includes individuals who have suffered from the physical, emotional, and psychological consequences of sexual violence.
Overall, this law serves as a legal framework to prevent sexual violence, protect victims, and support victims through the recovery process. It aims to raise awareness of sexual violence, guarantee responsibility for the perpetrator's actions, and establish measures to support and rehabilitate victims.
Act on the Prevention of Sexual Violence and Protection of Victims
Article 1 (Purpose) The purpose of this Act is to contribute to the promotion of human rights by preventing sexual violence and protecting and supporting victims of sexual violence. <Revised February 3, 2015>
Article 2 (Definitions) The meanings of the terms used in this Act are as follows.
1. The term "sexual violence" means an act falling under Article 2 (1) of the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Violence Crimes.
2. The term "sexual violence offender" means a person who has committed a crime falling under Article 2 (1) of the Special Act on the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Violence Crimes.
3. The term "victim of sexual violence" means a person directly affected by sexual violence.
